Countries involved
|
Sir Isaac Brock |
The war of 1812 was fought by the United States of America against the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. Not only Countries were involved but many first nation people were also involved. These first nations played a key role for victory in battles such as battle of the Beaver Dam. Many of these First Nation people joined the British because they had the same objective, to resist American expansion of territory. The Ojibwa and Dakota tribes fought in the capture of Detroit. The Algonquin, Mohawk, Huron and Abenaki fought at the battle of Chateauguay. Many more fights were fought along with First Nation people.
